My name is Regina and 13 years ago my sister Frances was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was such a shock to say the least and felt so unreal. This was something I thought only happened to others, not us, not her! It became REAL, really quick and soon after she lost her battle at the young age of 30. That year me and my best friend Angelina decided that we needed to do something to honor her, bring awareness and support the cause so we joined the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The next year we decided to create a team and each year after it continued to grow and grow, soon becoming an annual tradition for all our friends and family. When we found out that there would be no more Race for the Cure here in Phoenix we decided to organize our own walk/hike and with the proceeds help others in our community of family and friends suffering from this disease. It’s sad and unfortunate that most of us have been or have someone close to us that has been effected by breast cancer. This started to honor our “Sister” but has become a tradition for everyone joining to come and support and honor all our loved ones who’ve lost the battle, are currently fighting or survived this beast called breast cancer.

The last 7 years have been a success and we hope this year is even bigger and better!
I hope you all come join us and those of you who have been, continue to!!
All proceeds will go to fighter(s) in our very own Sisters' Hike community so if you know somone please reach out with their story.
